News

URGENT - Mark and Sue are trying to arrange a few days away (Tuesday 5th to Thursday 7th June) in the Weymouth Area.  If you are interested you need to call Mark/Sue by no later than 30th April.

Please note the reference to and copy of the Club's Health and Safety Policy on the Welcome page.  You should all be aware of and familiar with it.

Please note that the 2012 AGM will be held in Bramley Village Hall, starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday May 13th.

Programme 116 is entered now.  If you spot any oddities or errors please let me know.   One change that does affect all walks is that the standard pick-up point for lifts will no longer be St Nick's car park.  Instead, you will need to agree a location with whoever is giving you the lift.

SCC are taking action to reduce the cost of their countryside and rights of way section and are introducing a priority system to reduce the amount of work carried out on rights of way.  This is obviously very worrying in terms of how quickly our footpath network will deteriorate and the high likelihood that less used paths will become blocked.  We are asked, therefore, to ensure that everyone be extra vigilant in reporting footpath problems both within Surrey and other county areas so we can monitor the true effects of cutbacks.
Please keep reporting problems to Olive.
Thanks to Geoff Lane who originally built this site for us. I now have responsibility for maintaining it so, from now on, any faults will be of my making.  If any members have suggestions about the site and, in particular, any items of news or photographs that they would like to see posted here, please let me know at the email address below.  I can't promise to fulfill everyone's desires but I will try.
